Remember the 22-year-old probably best known for her role in the TV hit show “Teen Mom; who released her own sex tape Backdoor Teen Mom that sparked a huge interest with the public; who has completed a stint in rehab for alcohol abuse and might play a prostitute named Destiny in the iconic NBC daytime show?  Yea, she is Farrah Abraham.

She has reportedly sent in homemade audition tapes for the role of a hooker in TV soap opera Days of our Lives.

Abraham first auditioned for the part earlier this year and her reel for the role surfaced online in April. Thankfully she didn't get the part. Watch video below:

FG To Introduce Student Loans, Breaks-Off ASUU Negotiation

The Nigerian Government has decided to break off negotiation with ASUU following a  'security report' of the infiltration of the opposition after  the committee set up by the Nigerian government to negotiate with the union gave a verdict of non-compromise on the part of the union.

 It was revealed that the committee had reported to the government that the union leaders were arrogant and selfish, putting their interest before that of their students who had been at home for nine weeks and had remained 'rigid and unbending' to suggestions on how to agree on some of the issues it was agitating for so as to end the strike.

The government after the report told the committee members that it had fresh security report that the union's stance on the lingering crisis in the education sector was as a result of the opposition's infiltration into the union as the opposition wants to portray the government as irrational and uncaring to the plight of the lecturers and their students as well as present the government in bad light to Nigerians and the international community.

The government has therefore decided to fund individual student's education as it is done in advanced countries by introducing loans to the students throughout their period in the university so as to cushion the effect of the financial hardship on the students. How will the loan to the students compel the lecturers to call off the strike?

Students are expected to re-pay the loans after graduation provided they get jobs of their choice. How will the loan ever be repaid when there are no jobs in the first not to talk of jobs of their choice?

Does the government know the actual number of students we have in Nigeria and is the total cost of the loans cheaper than honouring the 2009 agreement??

Will the loans ever get to the students?

According to his  friend, Ibrahim, Sadiq paid him a visit last night for the first time and deep into the night, he began to have sex with him after which he ‘snatched’ Ibrahim’s organ. Ibrahim raised an alarm when he noticed that his male organ had disappeared.

Though they have been friends for some time now, Ibrahim said he never knew his friend was gay until last night when he visited him for the first time.

Ibrahim was reportedly seen naked at the scene and his penis was of normal size though he was making efforts to make it turgid as a proof that it was fully restored.

Sadiq, in a confessional statement to local vigilantes at the scene of the incident, said he has been gay for the past three years engaging only men in sex since but denied snatching his friend’s male organ, though he further indicted a prophet whose white garment church is within the community as the one who prepares concoction with which he engages in the act.

However, the prophet, who was invited by the vigilantes, denied the allegation.

Catch-22: ASUU Pulls Out Of Negotiations With FG

 Just when most people thought that the end of ASUU strike is in sight  following the president’s directives two days ago that the two FG committees discussing with ASUU should ensure a speedy resolution of the issues that made the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) embark on a strike since July 2, a not-so-good Update on the ASUU Strike came in this evening.

ASUU, through its President, Dr. Nassir Faggae Isa, announced today in Unilag that it is disengaging from any further negotiations with the Federal Government over what it describes as the latter’s perceived insincerity in the 2009 agreement as well as the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) both parties signed in January last year.

According to him, during a meeting held between ASUU and the government representative on Monday, government declared that it neither had any motive to revitalize public universities through committed funding, nor was it ready to pay in full the accumulated Earned Academic Allowances between 2009 and 2013.

Dr Isa said the 2009 agreement and the MoU must first be honoured, even if ASUU feels the need to consider renegotiation with the government.

 “Consequently, our members are left with no other choice than to prosecute this strike to its logical conclusion. ASUU members nationwide are saying this striker will not be suspended until and unless the government respects the 2009 agreement and makes concrete efforts to implement it in the best interest of the country.”

FRSC Sets Date To Start Apprehending Car Owners With Old Plate Number

The Federal Road Safety Commission today in Oyo State told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the validity of the old number plates would expire on September 30, 2013 and motorists driving vehicles with old number plates would be apprehended and prosecuted as from October 1, 2013.

The Oyo State Sector –Commander, Mr Godwin Ogagaoghene, said,

“I can assure you that from the first day in October, car owners still going about with the old number plates would be apprehended for violating the order.
“The cost of changing over from existing old number plates to the new is cheaper than if you are to obtain fresh number plates for cars that are to be newly registered.
“I, therefore, urge the public to ensure that they change over to the new number plates before October 1”.

Tragic: Absent-Minded Driver Hits Bridge Railings As Bus Falls On Carter Bridge [PHOTOS]

An avoidable accident occurred around 2:30pm this afternoon on Carter Bridge at the Idumota –Iddo terminus that leads to the mainland causing slow traffic flow.

No lives were lost.

One of the passengers that I spoke with, Mrs Ajayi, escaped with minor injuries and said that the commercial bus driver who conveyed them from Idumota market was absent-minded as he kept veering off his lane even though he wasn’t driving at top speed.

According to her, “he kept ignoring our shouts and pleas for him to concentrate, so we left him because he is an elderly man. Not too long after, he totally lost control of the steering and veered off his lane, hitting the railings on the bridge before the bus fell on its side”.

Good Nigerians that were walking along the bridge promptly helped to rescue the occupants who were trapped inside the bus turned on its side. Some came out unscathed, others with minor injuries but the worst hit was the driver who bled from his nose and his wrist which was tied with a piece of cloth. 

The driver was later taken to a nearby hospital by officers of the Federal Road Safety Commission that were patrolling on the road.
